The Ukrainian embassy in Iran previously issued a statement stating that the crash of a Ukrainian passenger plane in Iran was due to an engine failure, not a terrorist attack.
On the same day, Ukrainian President Zelensky expressed his sincere condolences to the relatives of all passengers and crew members.
Ukraine International Airlines also announced that from today, the airline decided to cancel all flights to Tehran until further notice. Ukraine Airlines said it did not believe the cause of the plane crash was the crew.
It is reported that the Iranian rescue department has found the black box of the crashed Boeing 737 passenger plane and has sent it to law enforcement agencies for further investigation.
